MEET THE FOUNDER, DAKIN
Taylored Well Events is a wedding and event design firm rooted in Oxford and Tupelo, built on a love for beautiful rooms, long tables, and hospitality that runs in the family.
Our work is thoughtfully layered, rather than styled. Collected linens, unexpected color, and a tablescape that makes you want to linger. The design looks soft and effortless, but underneath it, we are holding the timeline, reading the contracts, and writing the rain plan before you thought to ask for one.

Our guiding principle — Worldly Southern Impressionism. Collected, cultured, refined, and inviting.
That’s the aim. An antique oriental rug on the floor of an airy beach house. Linen furniture that has clearly been lived in. Wildflowers instead of an arrangement of roses. And color laid down in layers rather than simply matched to a palette. The discipline is underneath, where guests never see it. Which is the only reason the softness reads as intention rather than accident.

HOSPITATLITY
Dakin came up in the hospitality and retail industry. Rehearsal dinners and cocktail parties on the Oxford Square, the Christmas rush at her family’s department store, and years of hosting weddings at a venue — learning what a room needs before anybody notices they need it.
Design is what gets photographed. Service is what people actually remember: whether the bar had a line, if the lights dimmed with the sunset, if anyone had to ask twice. Design and service matter… but only one of them is a party trick.
On The Road
Home is Mississippi. The eye for design came from somewhere else — 33 countries so far, and counting. Taylored Well plans in the Southeast, with the vendor relationships to prove it, but designs with a head full of beautiful rooms, dinners, and experiences from other places — hotels worth staying in, tables worth sitting at, shops that are worth the jet lag.
Global taste applied to a Southern wedding is a combination you didn't know you needed.
